Girl Scouts provides experiences for girls who will become tomorrow's business, civic and volunteer leaders. Girl Scouts of Orange county is providing a safe environment for nearly 23,000 girls to develop their talents and leadership skills and grow up to be strong, healthy and happy women. And we know that Girl Scouts Work – a recent study showed that women who were Girl Scouts when they were young have higher perceptions of self, higher rates of volunteerism and civic engagement, higher rates of college education and higher household incomes than non- alumnae. Parents and volunteers guide and support girls and play a critical role in their lives as role models and partners in Girl Scouts serving as troop leaders, mentors and advisors.
